Dr William Okyere-Frempong

Dr. William Okyere-Frempong has an eclectic background as a medic, management leader, motivational coach, and minister of the gospel. He holds an MBChB in Medicine & Surgery, an Executive Certificate in Business Administration, a Certificate in Healthcare Administration & Management, Certificates in Monitoring & Evaluation, and Economic Evaluation in Global Health, and a Masters in Organizational Leadership & Governance.

He is the founding Medical Superintendent of the Nungua LEKMA Polyclinic. Here he combines his clinical practice and managerial responsibilities with competence and sterling character as he leads a team of clinical, preventive and support services staff to provide quality and accessible healthcare services.

Yet above and beyond being a leading doctor, Dr. Will as he is affectionately known is the Africa EPSA Regional CEO of The HuD Group~ an international leadership and mentorship organization. He is also the lead coach at RoverMed Consult~ a soft skills training firm and served as an independent consultant to CDC Foundation's Field Epidemiologists Training Program for Thailand, Ethiopia, China, and India. In these roles, he frequently offers training to emerging leaders and established professionals.

Dr. Will is an accredited DISC coach and a certified professional coach. He has over twelve years of experience serving in leadership and board roles in healthcare, education, church, and non-profits. He is a member of the Institute of Directors Ghana and the current Advisory Board Chair of the US-Ghana Alumni Association. He is also a member of the Lausanne Movement's YLGen and a widely received itinerant preacher. All of these have not gone unnoticed, as he has been the recipient of a number of awards and recognitions including the 2014 Nobles International Award, ranked 3rd among the top 20 young speakers in Ghana in 2015 by the Speakers Bureau of Ghana, and adjudged Spirited Advocate Clinician at the HELEH Africa 2018 Awards.

William is a 2020 Hubert Humphrey Public Health Policy & Management fellow from Emory University a and 2022 Archbishop Desmond Tutu Leadership Fellow. He demonstrates biblical reflection, visionary perception, and refreshing common sense. He is married to graceful Ruby and they are blessed with two children. Dr. Will is unashamedly Christian and completely sold out to Christ.

Benjamin Kwame Ahunu

ING. BENJAMIN AHUNU has a rich diversity of experiences in Ghana’s power sector. For close to two decades, he has had a ringside seat in the significant aspects of the value chain from generation to transmission.

Prior to his current role as Manager in Charge of the Accra Operating Area of GRIDCo, within the Southern Networks Department, Benjamin had served as Manager, Business Development & Grid Consult, Manager, Engineering Procurement, in Ghana Grid Company, (GRIDCo). He also served as Special Assistant to the Chief Executive of GRIDCo as a Principal Engineer.

Earlier in his career, Ing. Ahunu worked as a System Planning Engineer with the Volta River Authority before joining GRIDCo in 2008.

He has been involved in numerous Power System studies over the years, including Counterpart Project Engineer for the West Africa Power Pool (WAPP) Master Plan (2011) and the Ghana Transmission Master Plan (2010). He has also extensively been involved in the activities of the West African Power Pool (WAPP).

Ing. Ahunu has undergone extensive training and advanced education programmes in Procurement Management, Power System Transmission Planning and Analysis, Project Management and other courses in Leadership development, Finance and Management.

He holds a first degree in Electrical Engineering from KNUST, Ghana and an MSc. in Engineering Management from Coventry University in the United Kingdom. He also has an MBA in Project Management from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) as well as a Master of Science Degree Economics (Energy and Natural Resource) as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Mechanics of Project Finance from Middlesex University, London.

He is a Member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers, the Institute of Electrical/Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Project Management Institute (PMI) and an affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).

His passion for leadership and youth development has propelled him to volunteer with organizations such as the HuD Group Ghana where he served as Country C.E.O From 2007 to 2013 and continues to remain a sought after speaker and trainer for HuD Seminars and Workshops.

Odasani (affectionately called), is undoubtedly one of Ghana’s top-notch Power Systems Planning Engineers whose relentless passion to contribute meaningfully to the development of Ghana’s energy market continues to earn him various leadership roles in Ghana’s power sector. What distinguishes Ben is not only his outstanding expertise and wealth of knowledge and experience in power systems planning, but his leadership style rooted in service and integrity.

Yaa Twenewaa Asare-Bediako

Ms Asare-Bediako is a Certified Human Resource Management Professional licensed by the American Certification Institute in Delaware, USA. She holds a post-graduate degree in Management and Administration from the University of Ghana Business School and is an alumnus of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where she earned her undergraduate the degree in Tourism. Currently, she holds a Professional Certificate in Leadership and Management in Health from the University of Washington, USA.

With nearly a decade of experience in healthcare, hospitality and human capital development industries, she always aspires to work with a strategic team. Confident to accept challenges and grow with an organization while learning and gaining more professional experience, the opportunity to make an impact with a forward-looking strategic organization is one that excites her.

Over the last seven years, she has served on several committees in the institutions she has worked which has made her versatile in her role as a Human Resource Professional and an Administrator. She has the exposure of working in both private and public sectors.

Ms Asare-Bediako is an Administrative Manager with the Ghana Health Service where she doubles as the Executive Assistant to the Medical Superintendent of the Nungua LEKMA Polyclinic. She serves as the Admin. & Operations Manager of the RoverMED Consult.

During her leisure time, she loves to swim and play table tennis.
